Grafický dizajn je proces vizuálnej komunikácie a riešenie problémov pomocou typu, priestor, obrazu a farieb.
Toto odvetvie je považované za podmnožinu vizuálnej komunikácie a komunikačného dizajnu, avšak často používaný termín „grafický design“ je s nimi zamieňaný kvôli prekrývaniu zručností. Grafici používajú rôzne metódy, ako vytvárať a kombinovať slová, symboly a obrázky, vďaka čomu tvoria vizuálnu reprezentáciu myšlienok a správ.

Produktový design ako sloveso znamená proces vytvorenia nového produktu na trhu, ktorý je uskutočnený prostredníctvom firmy pre svojich zákazníkov. Je to veľmi široký pojem, ktorý v skratke znázorňuje účinnú a efektívnu tvorbu a rozvoj myšlienok pomocou procesu, ktorý vedie k novým produktom.

Marketingová stratégia má základný cieľ zvýśiť predaj a dosiahnuť udržateľnú konkurenčnú výhodu. Marketingová stratégia obsahuje všetky základné, krátkodobé a dlhodobé aktivity v oblasti marketingu, ktoré sa zaoberajú analýzou strategickej východiskovej situácie podniku a vytváranie, hodnotenie a výberu trhovo orientovaných stratégií, a preto prispievajú k cieľom spoločnosti a jej marketingovým cieľom.

Produktový marketing sa zaoberá „7 P“ marketingu, ktoré sú produktu, cena, miesto, propagácia, fyzické prostredie, proces a ľudia. Marketing produkt, na rozdiel od produktového manažmentu, sa zaoberá viac odchádzajúcim marketingom alebo zákaznícky orientovaným marketingom. Napríklad spoločnosti produktového manažmentu sa zaoberajú vývojom produktov v rámci firmy, zatiaľ čo produktový marketing sa zaoberá uvádzaním výrobku na trh.

Dominantné postavenie na trhu je meradlom sily značky, produktu, služby, alebo firmy, ktoré sa vzťahuje na konkurenčnýé ponuky. Často tam býva dôležitý zemepisný prvok v konkurenčnom prostredí. Pri definovaní dominantného postavenia na trhu je potrebné vidieť, do akej miery výrobok, značka, alebo podnik ovláda kategóriu produktov v danej geografickej oblasti.

Marketingový manažment je organizačná disciplína, ktorá sa zameriava na praktické uplatnenie marketingovej orientácie, techník a metód vnútri podnikov a organizácií a na riadenia marketingových zdrojov a činností podniku.

Marketing sociálnych siétí snaží sa rozvíjať a integrovať marketingové koncepty s inými prístupmi k ovplyvneniu správania, ktoré majú prospech pre jednotlivcov a komunity pre väčšie sociálne dobro. Snaží sa integrovať výskum, osvedčený postup, teórie, publikum a partnerstvo.

Advertising (or advertizing) is a form of marketing communication used to promote or sell something, usually a business’s product or service. In Latin, ad vertere means „to turn toward“. The purpose of advertising may also be to reassure employees or shareholders that a company is viable or successful. Advertising messages are usually paid for by sponsors and viewed via various old media; including mass media such as newspaper, magazines, television advertisement, radio advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct mail; or new media such as blogs, websites or text messages.

Brand management is the analysis and planning on how that brand is perceived in the market. Developing a good relationship with the target market is essential for brand management. Tangible elements of brand management include the product itself; look, price, the packaging, etc. The intangible elements are the experience that the consumer has had with the brand, and also the relationship that they have with that brand. A brand manager would oversee all of these things.

Marketing is about communicating the value of a product, service or brand to customers or consumers for the purpose of promoting or selling that product, service, or brand. The oldest – and perhaps simplest and most natural form of marketing – is ‘word of mouth’ (WOM) marketing, in which consumers convey their experiences of a product, service or brand in their day-to-day communications with others. These communications can of course be either positive or negative. In recent times, the internet has provided a platform for mass, electronic WOM marketing (e-WOM), with consumers actively engaged in review, rating on goods and services.

Motion graphic design is a subset of graphic design in that it uses graphic design principles in a filmmaking or video production context (or other temporally evolving visual medium) through the use of animation or filmic techniques.

Communication Design is a mixed discipline between design and information-development which is concerned with how media intermission such as printed, crafted, electronic media or presentations communicate with people.
